Office of Transportation Development & Transit Services

The Office of Transportation Development & Transit Services provides engineering and transit solutions to successfully manage transportation needs in the City of Los Angeles.

	This Office in the Los Angeles Department of Transportation accomplishes the following:
	Funding, design and construction of transportation improvements Current and future transportation planning Transit programs and services development Securing project funding Development review

Under the General Manager’s direction, an Assistant General Manager heads the Office. The Assistant General Manager oversees three Bureaus.

Bureau of Capital Programming

The Bureau of Capital Programming designs and builds multi-modal transportation improvements for the City and secures funding for these projects.

Bureau of Planning and Land Use

LADOT Planning and Land Use employees devise plans to alleviate transportation shortcomings and review land use proposals to evaluate and mitigate community impact.

Bureau of Transit Services

The Bureau of Transit Services develops and manages the City of Los Angeles’ transit programs to meet transportation needs. The Bureau also secures funding for transit services.
