Los Angeles Board of Taxicab Commissioners
Bruce G. Iwasaki, President of the Board, is an attorney
with the firm of Lim, Ruger & Kim, LLP. Iwasaki has
received awards from the American Bar Association and the
State Bar of California for his legal work. Previously,
he was the executive director of the Legal Aid Foundation
of Los Angeles.
Dennis F. Hernandez, Vice President of the Board, has over 20 years experience as a litigator and
business attorney. He is currently counsel in the law firm of Luna & Glushon, where he specializes in
general business litigation, media, First Amendment, and intellectual property law, ethics and public law. Mr. Hernadez'
experience includes serving partner in a national law firm, General Counsel for a Silicon Valley software company and as
vice president of legal affairs for a major entertainment company. Mr. Hernandez is a certified mediator and regularly serves
in court-appointed mediation.
Commissioner Kim Pattilo Brownson is the
associate counsel at the Advancement Project, where she
focuses upon education and civil rights law. When she worked
as an attorney at the American Civil Liberties Union of
Southern California, Brownson addressed legal issues surrounding
children's education needs.
Commissioner Jim Delloro is the executive director of the Dolores Huerta Labor Institute, an organization within the Los Angeles Community College District that educates students about labor issues and history.
He is also a visiting lecturer in the UCLA Asian American Studies Department.
Commissioner Sergio J. Siderman is the nation’s leading expert on disclosure laws pertaining
to natural and environmental hazards. As CEO, he oversees the operations of National Disclosure Authority,
a firm that provides hazard disclosure information to real estate agents, buyers and sellers.
